About the Director

B.K. Dolan 

    

    Brian “Kim” Dolan was born in Texas and raised in Gainesville, Florida and Ann Arbor, Michigan. His father is a scientist at the Kresge Hearing Research Institute of the University of Michigan and his mother is a retired elementary school teacher. He has a younger sister who teaches business English in Stuttgart, Germany.

    Kim graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Catholic Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul in 1998. He worked for the Catholic Diocese of Marquette from 1998 to 2004 where he served as the Director of the Catholic Campus Ministry Center at Northern Michigan University.

    Kim moved to Rome in 2005 and has worked in the tourism industry since 2007. In 2009 he initiated the foundation of Urbs Sacra with the desire to serve Catholic pilgrims and those seeking to enrich their knowledge of Rome’s Christian heritage.

    Kim earned his Sacrae Theologiae Baccalaureus (M Div. equivalent)  from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas, which is also known as the Angelicum.
